Pre- production planning: Story Idea By Holly King

We were unable to film our origional story idea due to not having enough actors avaliable to film. We tried to adapt our idea so that we only needed one actor however we were unable to do so, so we decided to think of a new idea.

Origionally i thought of a short film about a girl who is lovely, bored and deprived of human contact, the story is:

• About a lonely girl
• She has the same dailey routines alone in her room
• She regularly Checks her Facebook page, which shows her having no friends
• Thoughtout the day, we see smalls clips of her being bored and alone, showing us what her days consist of and how she entertains herself
• There are 3 days in this shortfilm-the first day shows us what she does everyday
• The Second day shows us how her routine repeates dailey
• However in the evening of the second day, she recieves a friend request from a boy she does not know, however she is overwhelmed that she has a friend and somebody to talk to
• The 2 talk into the night and find out they have a lot in common
• The 2 arrange to meet up the following day
• The girls usual routine is disrupted as she excitably wakes up early on the 3rd day to meet this boy
• She waits where they arrange to meet, however noone comes
• When she returns home she checks her facebok page to ask boy where he was
• However she has no mail in her inbox (no previous messgaes-as if the conversation never took place)
• She also once again has no facebook friends
• She searches the boys name in the search bar and there are no results found
• She feels sad and lonely once more and returns back to her usual lonely, boring routine.

I felt this idea was good because it links with out first short film idea and the idea of someone being so lonely that they imagine company. However after discussing this as a group we decided to adapt my origional story slightly.
